Meet Awash Prasad Founder & Principal Lawyer

After nearly two decades navigating the world of law, I’ve worked at just about every level you can imagine. I started out helping everyday Australians resolve their legal issues, moved into senior roles in one of the country’s largest consumer law firms, and went on to lead legal teams in some of the biggest and most complex healthcare organisations, including as Director of Legal Services for a $1.5 billion hospital and later as General Counsel & GM Corporate Governance and Risk for a national alternative healthcare company.

Along the way, I noticed something troubling, high-end legal advice was too often reserved for high-end clients. Everyday people and smaller businesses, the ones who need clear, practical, and trustworthy legal support the most were locked out by cost and complexity. That didn’t sit right with me. Everyday people and small businesses deserve the same quality of legal support without the price tag or the jargon.

That’s where NorthBridge Legal was born. The name says it all: bridging the gap between big-law expertise and the people and businesses who deserve access to it. My mission is to take the insight, rigour, and experience I gained in those senior roles and make it available in a way that’s approachable, transparent, and tailored to real-world needs. 

For those who like the formalities, I hold an LLB, LLM, am a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), and an Accredited Specialist in my field. But what really matters is this, I’m here to make high-quality legal services accessible to anyone who needs them, without the jargon or the barriers.
